Uni Knot
The uni knot is a versatile and reliable knot used for tying line to hooks, swivels, and lures, and is also the foundation of the double uni knot.

How to Tie the Uni Knot
- Pass the line through the eye of the hook and pull through several inches of tag end.
- Form a loop by laying the tag end back alongside the standing line.
- Wrap the tag end around both the standing line and through the loop 5-7 times.
- Pull the tag end slowly to tighten the wraps down toward the hook, forming the knot.
- Slide the knot down to the eye of the hook and pull the standing line to fully cinch it tight.
- Trim the tag end, leaving a small amount to prevent slipping.
Pro Tips
- Extremely versatile knot for many fishing applications.
- Works well with mono, fluorocarbon, and braid.
- Use more wraps (6-8) for braid to prevent slipping.
- Keep wraps neat and evenly spaced.
- Always moisten before tightening for best strength.
